European Pipe Band Championships
Saturday 31st July sees the European Pipe Band Championships being held in the grounds of Stormont Castle in Northern Ireland over 120 will be competing over the day.

The World Ppe Band Championships to be held 14th August 2010 in Glasgow Gree Glasgow has attracted 239 bands - a new record. Band competitions from 9am - 5.45pm A day not to miss. More details from www.rspba.org

Houghton Le Spring Pipe Band is a family centered band based in the North East of England. 
The band aims to create a sociable environment in which to encourage interest in traditional music and in the playing of pipes and drums.
To provide the best support and tuition possible for those willing to improve their skills and musicianship and to raise money with a view to providing equipment as necessary. Houghton Le Spring Pipe Band is available for concerts, galas, events and provides pipers for all occasions.
